
North Somerset and Bristol Fungus Group
Tyntesfield, in North Somerset near Bristol, was acquired by the National Trust in 2002, together with an estate that had had minimum upkeep for more than thirty years. During an initial visit in November 2002 and a subsequent visit in October 2005, it was clear that the Estate contained a rich source of fungi. Since then the Estate has been visited regularly in an attempt to identify the fungi present, and by recording their location, to assist the National Trust in their conservation work. Reports advising on the conservation of fungi on the estate were sent to the National Trust at the end of 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

PUBLIC FORAYS 2009
The National Trust has programmed Public Forays on two days in October (19th and 31st). Bookings for these forays should be made through the National Trust. Arrangements will be listed on the NT Web Site in due course.
